How to Apply Restrictions (Optional) to a poll or contest

From "My Contests" or "My Polls" webpage follow the "Restriction Criteria" link of the contest or poll. Fill out the "View & Participation Restriction" form. In this section you can restrict viewing and participation of a contest or poll to an access list. Also participation can be restricted to a country, state, and age range. Only for contests, you can allow multiple entries. The following questions will be asked during form submission.

Do you want to restrict access by applying an Access code?

The default value is "No". If you wish to restrict viewing and participation of the contest or poll, select "Yes". The website will provide a box for you to enter an access code. Assign your access code which should be only numbers and alphabets and at least 4 characters long. (Note that if this restriction applied to a contest or poll it will not show up in the search result. Also you need to provide the URL of the contest or poll for participation and viewing with access code via an invitation or sending an email.)

Do you want to restrict viewing to an Access list?

The default value is "No". If you wish to restrict viewing of the contest or poll, select "Yes". The website will provide the list of "Access Lists" that you have created. Select the appropriate list from drop down list. (Note that if this restriction applied to a contest or poll it will not show up in the search result. To notify viewers with access permission you need to invite them or send them the URL)

Do you want to restrict participation to an Access List?

The default value is "No". If you wish to restrict participation of the contest or poll to an "Access List", select "Yes". The website will provide the list of the "Access Lists" that you have created. Select the appropriate list from drop down list. Only users included in the "Access List" can participate in the contest or poll.

Do you want to restrict participation by Country?

The default value is "ALL". If you wish to restrict participation of the contest or poll by country select the appropriate country from the drop down list. (Note that if the user has not updated the My Profile section with his or her country, can't participate in the contest or poll which is restricted to a country.)

Do you want to restrict participation by State?

The default value is "ALL". If you wish to restrict participation of the contest or poll by state select the appropriate state from the drop down list. (Note that if the user has not updated the My Profile section with his or her country, can't participate in the contest or poll which is restricted to a country.)

Minimum Age Requirement:

The default value is 14. If you wish to restrict participation of the contest or poll by age you can define the minimum and maximum age allowed for participation.

Maximum Age Requirement:

The default value is 200. If you wish to restrict participation of the contest or poll by age you can define the minimum and maximum age allowed for participation.

Are multiple entries allowed for the same user?

This option is only available for contests. The default value is "No". If you wish to allow multiple submissions or entries from one user you need to select "Yes". The website will allow the user to submit more than one file to participate in a contest.

How can I remove restriction from a contest or poll?

Go to the "Restriction Criteria" of the contest or poll. Modify the form and click on the "Save" button. The page will be reloaded with your changes. Click on the "Done" button. If you want to remove all restrictions, click on the "Remove all Restrictions". The page will be reloaded with your changes. Click on the "Done" button.
